By virtue of being Goku's son, Goten posses battle power not the least bit inferior to even Gohan. On top of being able to unleash a startling amount of power in even his normal state, he can easily transform into a Super Saiyan. Furthermore, he merges with Trunks through a technique known as Fusion.

I suppose. Although I think it's a bit deceiving if that's what it means. Considering that Gohan is superior for like 95% of the series. I know that Goten didn't exist for most of that, but still...

Goten admits he is weaker than Gohan and the Daizenshuu says they are equals... Gohan was rusty... He was blocking him and had no problems overall. Vegeta was sweating vs Trunks too.. So what? Goten having no skills is irrelevant seeing how Gohan got rusty... Goten never hit him and admits he is much weaker...

He was expecting them to be help against his estimations of a transformed Freeza, not 1st form Freeza. Considering his experience based on his fight with Zarbon, he'd have little chance in such a situation if he was the only one putting much into this team effort.

Not to mention that he specifically mentions their power levels when factoring in how much of a help they'd be; if he wanted them to be mere distractions then that wouldn't have been relevant.

Like Kyo said, their power was specifically mentioned regarding their capacity to help Vegeta. There's no godly way for Krillin at 75,000 to help against a being that's already 7x stronger than him. It would be a repeat of Vegeta/Krillin/Gohan vs Reacoom.

How come Krillin got so strong if he struggled with Ginyu before? Krillin was shocked at how strong Freeza was when he powered up so it's unlikely for him to be relevant to him..

Vegeta says it's increasing so he might of thought that their ki would get even stronger.. That doesn't contradict Krillin being 75k and Gohan being 90k imo

Vegeta by himself was already noticeably weaker than Freeza as he was shown sweating and breathing heavily after grappling with him... Freeza was just fine

His confidence was also pure BS.. Zarbon's ki increased by a lot and he beat Vegeta... So if Freeza who was already stronger than him in his first form transforms he would easily beat them...

Freeza's power is considered incredible... Couple that with the fact that Vegeta is clearly below him and the fact that Gohan is much weaker than his post zenkai self after fighting 2nd form Freeza was weaker than Vegeta too... 90k for Gohan fits perfectly.. 75k for Krillin too
