Piccolo's death: GT vs Super

Which one was better regarding Piccolo's death? (I couldn't find Piccolo's death in Japanese in GT, so sorry).

GT did that better. Gohan at that point was too worthless to give a shit about, as was the guy defending him.

The latter at least gave Freeza an actual kill beyond nameless background characters, I suppose.

Yeah, I also think Piccolo's death on GT way better. The soundtrack, Piccolo's speech, motives made that scene great. As well as the fact that he didn't revive.

Emotional wise: GT > Super

GT's fight scenes all sucked and were worse than Super's, but this death had more weight than the average "Oh wait he died? Time to gather the Dragon Balls and go on about our merry day!" death of DB.
