I think the homing blast is a Bakurikimaha variant based on the gesture. But is it the FP version or the OG version? Not sure if Piccolo still had the stamina for such a big attack. Also the fact he only used it so late in the fight makes it look like more of a desperate attack than a proper powerhouse attack.

Without a doubt the OG version. Goku calls it a basic attack so it's not something that would've needed a Super Kamehameha to counter. But it was still powerful given Piccolo's expectations. It's basically just the original variant but it's now controllable.

Tbf I think the fact Piccolo could turn the Bakurikimaha into a proper wave (Whereas Daimao's version was just a big explosion) is already an improvement. Not that it negates an amp improvement, but it shows he already improved the attack in some way.

It definitely counts as an improvement. The dynamics of an attack can be game changing even if it has the same amp.

Yeah, @SSJ2 has convinced me of this.

A Piccolo Daimao vs Kid Goku max amp battle ends in a stalemate I feel. Demon Wave versus Kamehameha.

Piccolo launches what appears to be a regular Demon Wave at Goku initially, complete with city busting destruction. Then he does a massive charge up. It makes sense for this to be an improved version from Piccolo here, unfortunately for him, Goku has also improved his techniques and the Super Kamehameha edges him out...

Super Explosive Wave > Super Kamehameha > Super Demon Wave > Demon Wave = Kamehameha

Bakurikimaha felt stronger than Kamehameha when Kid Goku and Piccolo Daimao fought imo, Bakurikimaha is massive. But I might be biased because of the destruction Piccolo caused.

We didn't even see a real Kamehameha from Goku, so not sure why you'd think that. All we got was a bluff Kamehameha.

If Goku charged up a FP Kamehameha no doubt it would be super destructive. Remember, by this point Goku is 10x or better than the last Kamehameha we saw from Goku. Goku has improved insanely by this point.

It might just be the nature of the Bakurikimaha as a technique. “Baku” means “Explosion” so of course it makes a huge mess. The Kamehameha can explode too, but it’s not a destructive technique.
