I find Ed/Al’s reluctance to use philosophers stones pretty dumb. The lives and souls have already been taken. Would they not rather use the stones themselves versus letting evil use them?

He didn't realise Pride was sending a signal. It's fairly understandable, given how Pride still had the body of a child and to Al, he may still have some childish actions or general curiosities that his Selim Bradley persona may have.

I mean, the fact that he was okay with having his head off and letting a homunculus play around with it is pretty messed up imo. Not realizing the signal is understandable, but letting that situation happen at all is stupid.
