Right off the bat the drop off in quality is quite noticeable. The voice acting and the animation don’t compare to Brotherhood. That’s not a knock on the OG because it is 6 years older, but it’s hard to ignore.

The 2003 version covers all the events from the manga/Brotherhood up until Barry The Faggot iirc.

You're probably thinking of King Bradley's Homunculus title of Wrath being changed to Pride. Lust, Gluttony, Envy and Greed are the same as their canon appearances, with Sloth and Wrath being completely different characters altogether.

2003’s first cour I find to be better than Brotherhood’s generally, although some find it too slow I think. The exception is episode 4 and I think one other early episode — both of which are filler — that are really really bad. (Of course it eventually branches off completely but the first cour is mostly consistent with the manga, with those two exceptions.)
