His power is linked to his network of Shadows, so he can instantly travel anywhere as far as his shadow goes, with the Briggs underground being developed so he'd have a wide range.

Whilst Pride is the must OP Homunculus, the others do have their definite strong points as well (apart from maybe Lust). Gluttony can pretty much end any fight instantly with a direct hit from his psuedo-Portal. Greed has the most durability, Wrath is likely the fastest and Sloth has the most physical strength.

I feel the main reason Father chose not to give the others a moveset quite as OP as Pride's is that it is Father's pride, so it not being able to proclaim itself as the strongest Homunculus would defeat its purpose. That, and it may have taken far more energy to produce similar abilities.

Kimblee was hired due to Scar being a nuisance in Father's plans and Kimblee used Winry as a hostage for Ed and Al to go along with him on the mission.
