Now, I'm not bashing here. I'm making this thread as I'm genuinely curious as to why people have the belief that Beerus can destroy Galaxies or as some have said in this thread, universes. What is the... evidence that he can do such things? I have looked over BoG and some of RoF but I haven't seen anything suggesting he could do anything NEAR those levels of destruction. The best I've seen is actually being able to take out a solar system.

I've heard something that Piccolo stated if they don't stop Beerus then the galaxy will be wiped out.

Wasn't there some guide that said he's capable of galaxy busting? I don't find it impossible I actually put him in the galaxy busting league of power in DBZ. Given that Cell with some effort is a Solar System buster and Byrrus is infinitely more powerful than he ever was I don't see why not he wouldn't be able to do so much more.

Aren't there around 500 solar systems found in our galaxy so far, im sure Beerus could handle much more than 500x then that of cell.

There are esimated to be tens of billions of solar systems in just the Milky Way Galaxy alone. The nearest Galaxy to ours is significantly larger. Within the universe, there are estimated to be tens of billions of Galaxies in just the observable universe. The observable universe is the light that has reached us thus far and what we see is a small fraction of the entire universe.

I see what you mean thats dependant on which galaxy. There are some galaxies that may or may not have less in that regard too.

Oh certainly, but even the smallest Dwarf Galaxies still have thousands of solar systems within.

Say he can, people aren't thinking Dwarf Galaxies when they think of Galaxies, they're thinking of Galaxies like the Milky Way. Those are the claims I'm trying to find evidence for.

That's true. There are probably some galaxies that are out of Beerus's reach but all evidence would probably depend on exactly how much stronger you think Beerus was then SSJ3 Goku that is placing SSJ3 Goku as a solar system buster around 4x stronger then SPC.

Yeah, but when you run the assumption that Destructive Capacity scales linearly you run into problems like the average human or even baby having enough power to deliver country rendering blows. While DC scales forward in some fashion relevant to power increases, it's certainly not linear.

We don't know how many solar system in dbzverse.
Its better to assume they = ours rather than making fanmade numbers for personal needs though.

To answer your question, there was an old trailer that had a piece of dialogue, stated by Piccolo, where Piccolo says that if Beerus is not stopped, then the entire galaxy will be in danger.

As for the question involving the galaxies themselves, there are guidebooks that suggest that are only four galaxies or so in the DBZ universe IIRC. So, Beerus being a universe buster isn't so crazy.

For the notion of Beerus being that strong, we have:

- The already mentioned Galaxy Buster statement from Piccolo.
- Toriyama implying Beerus could destroy the Kaioshinkai, which based on what guidebooks show of the scale of the DB Universe, could be a feat above Solar System busting.
- The recent universe statement from Kibitoshin.
- Toki no Kaioshin stating that Beerus may destroy all of time and space if angered in Xenoverse.

Most of these can be debunked however, with Piccolo and Kibitoshin's statements not specifying it to be just from one attack, much like how Goku said that the entire universe would be in danger if he didn't defeat Freeza. Aside from video game material being questionable, the Xenoverse one is likely also from chain reaction due to the characters being at the source of space-time during that part. The only evidence to imply Beerus is above Solar System level is Toriyama's statement, and with that, you have to call into question if a man who couldn't remember there was a Super Saiyan 3 is aware of the size of the Kaioshinkai.

I'm a casual saltine cracker buster, but I can't destroy the United States. Casual solar system buster doesn't bring Beerus into the same realm as galaxy, much less universe buster.

As a guide to the relative physical scale of the Milky Way, if the Solar System out to Neptune were the size of a US quarter (25mm), the Milky Way would be approximately the size of the United States
We can't say for sure whether the galaxy in DBZ is nearly as big, but it ain't small, given how far planet Namek is.
