Legacy of Goku II.
Attack of the Saiyans.
Super Warriors.

I've beat LOG2 about four times now. I've played 10+ hours of AOTS (although never beat it) and a small amount of Super Warriors.

Legacy of Goku 2 is the only one I've played, so I'd be inclined to go with that. However, I may be inclined to go with Attack of Saiyans due to the far more interesting fighting mechanics and the game-exclusive events fitting far better into the canon and tone of the series than something such as say, having to help a dinosaur move her eggs before getting to Gero's lab or Coola showing up just to wait on New Namek for you to fight him because...reasons. That, and LoG2 requires far more grinding for many events.
Overall, I'd say Buu's Fury was probably the better and more streamlined game of the trilogy when I take off the nostalgia goggles, though LoG2 was still a great precursor to it despite its flaws and still far better than the poor man's Legend of Zelda clone that was Legacy of Goku 1.

I heard Legacy of Goku II is the best game period. Attack of the Saiyans was gr9 too from what I heard.

I'd be willing to re-buy an old-school Nintendo DS for those games.

I played Super Sonic warriors while the game I'd good but it wasn't that challenging like LoG2 and Buu's Fury IMO.

It's a very fun game, ye.

Buu's Fury is great too.

I think technically speaking, Buu's Fury is the better game. You get characters like Gogeta and Gotenks, you can go SSJ3, you can play as Vegetto, Hercule and Videl (granted, for a limited time). The RPG elements make it more engaging, the spritework is objectively better, and I think it's generally more fun to play.

That being said, I prefer LOG2. I have strong nostalgia for it, and the spritework — despite being worse — is still really nice. The OST is great and it's more challenging than Buu's Fury.

LoG2 is the best and that's not even nostalgia goggles.

I just haven't played the ones after it. Yucka yucka. :)

Usually the best I've heard about Boo's fury is that if you liked LoG II you'll like that too but that's about it.

Imagine Legacy of Goku 2 with better gameplay, a larger character selection, slightly easier difficulty, and the Boo arc. :elmo

How come so many people prefer that over Boo's Fury though? Maybe partially because they prefer the Cell Saga over the Boo Saga.

Also why is it less difficult?

As well as the side missions not being anywhere near as tonally inconsistent with the series as the dinosaur egg mission from LoG2.

It requires less grinding to level up to the point of taking on bosses, especially with an item that vastly increases EXP at a slight loss in attack speed, which isn't much of a loss when it allows you to oneshot most fodder enemies.

You can't fight Perfect Shello in Buu's Fury, since it starts with Goku VS Paikuhan and goes from there. You probably won't be oneshotting any bosses, but will oneshot the typical mob enemies such as Bear Bandits and gunmen that are in the game.

No matter how much you grind in LoG2, you're not oneshotting Cell.
