There's such things as critical opinion. Plus, it's not as if we said we liked every single series we listed (eg. Bleach).

Critical opinions are one thing, but we are all here because of Dragonball. Fans don't rate their favorite (or liked) series with an average rating of 5/10. If I rated any series with a 5/10, it wouldn't be worth speaking about, much less joining a site over. Or hell, if I thought a series was 5/10, I wouldnt even bother finishing watching/reading it.
Sorry, I shouldn't rant. It's just I feel like people are a bit too hard on something they enjoy. I don't find it unbiased and objective for someone to rate a series they enjoy, low. I find it at the best odd, and at the worst untruthful.

I'm not really into anime that much, so... I probably have a much smaller scope of things than some of you. Anything lower than a 2 needs to be REALLY bad. Not just stupid, I mean awful.

I was just using DB as an example, I don't mind someone grading low for it. I do think it's dumb that they think it's 5/10 and still enjoy it enough to not only watch it fully, but also debate about it, for any show or book or movie. We might just think different on grading though.

I think 10 is flawless, which is impossible. 9 is incredible. 8 is great. 7 is good. 6 is kinda good, but you're not really interested. 5 is eh. and lower than that, I'm confused on why you'd bother.

As for your analogy, if I got enjoyment out of both the gourmet food and the Arby's, I wouldn't say Arby's was that low. Certainly your fast food wouldn't win awards, but to get enjoyment and fulfillment out of something and then say it was "eh" is confusing to me. Maybe people have much wider range in tastes (lol).

Being a well known and important pillar of the DBZ community I am, I've made friendships here I couldn't ever hope to gain in real life. DBZ was one of my first anime, and it will always hold a special place to my heart.

Besides, a lot of people hate Naruto, myself included, and still frequent Naruto Forums. Although I have an account there, I'm not an established member of Naruto Forums, and I'd still much rather have a presence here than there, not just because I've made many connections through this community.

Arlong arc: 7/10 (Nami's story. Luffy and crew vs Arlong)
Loguetown arc: 6/10 (Buggy's comeback. Smoker entrance)

Reverse mountain arc: 4/10 ( a lagoon. Yay)
Whiskey peak arc: 6/10 ( Zoro. Nuff said)

Thriller Bark arc: 7/10 (i like the atmosphere here. Moriah was a good villain. A lot of mysterious stuff has been told here. Zoro vs Kuma. )

Sabaody arc: 9/10 (Kizaru's entrance. Supernova's. Great arc)
Amazon lily arc: 6/10 (Hancock tittays)
Impel Down arc: 8:10 (Old villains showing up. Blackbeard comeback)
Marineford arc: 9/10 (Whitebeard. What more can I say? This arc is the bomb)

Fishman island arc: 3/10 (The greatest disappointment of all time. Lame weak villain using steroids.. Big mom's entrance was good. The flashback with Jinbei was the only good thing)
Punk Hazard arc: 4/10 (Law's epic return. Smoker loses. Caesar is lame, though i like him now. Plot was boring. Kuzans comeback.
Dressrosa arc: 5/10 (Too many characters and which became a clusterfuck. Sad, because it had the potential to become a top 5 material. Doflamingo is a great villain. Fujitora is also interesting. Sabo's return.

Chapters after Dressrosa (so far): 8/10 (A lot of interesting stuff appears. The hype is amazing)
