I saw this manga in Forbidden Planet (sounds like a sex shop but it's a manga/comic book/fantasy shop), it was called Sand something or something Sand. Thr art looked just like Toriyama's artwork, like Dragon Quest or Chrono Trigger. Did he illustrate this series?

The Sand Land manga first came out in 2000.

The movie came out in 2023 and the TV series in 2024.

I've only read the manga, and I didn't think it was bad. Probably Toriyama's best written manga. Sidenote, it'd be nice to see Kajika adapted to anime someday.
