Secret captain? Secret swordsman?

[Warmmedown]

Inspired by Moon Isaac Jr.

Has any crew had a secret captain? Like one of the crew seems like the captain, but really another member standing right there was the real captain all along. Like Katakuri is the real captain, or Baby Five is the real captain.

Or some secret person is the captain? Crocodile almost matches this, but the existence of some leader (Mr. 0) wasn't secret.

Imagine the twist if Yassop is the real captain and maybe strongest in Shanks' crew.
Or Luffy goes to fight the strongest in a crew, Franky goes to fight a weaker member, but that member is really the captain and is the strongest of them all. Luffy beats the fake captain, Franky gets fucked up. Good twist and it builds hype for the villain and for his fight with Luffy.

How about this one too: Luffy goes to fight an opponent, but then early in the fight he realises it's a swordsman. Zoro is fighting some other guy, maybe the real captain. Then Luffy is like oh fuck fuck fuck noooo and runs to find Zoro and they swap opponents (if Zoro ran to find Luffy he'd never find him and would probs end up running into Wiper and Gan Fall instead).

I guess this applies to Helmeppo.
