Shanks, Whitebeard, Kaido and Big Mam vs Roger, Shiki, Rayleigh, and Garp

He's at the Roger/WB respect level that most people didn't gain.

Also I just found out that the movie with Shiki vs Garp and Sengoku is written by Oda so canon for our purposes. That throws a wrench in Garp's strength level by a good amount.

I'm pretty sure both of them fought to reduce the damage on Marineford. Why fight 1v1 when Sengoku is right there?

And Garp let Sengoku 1v1 Blackbeard because he assumed he'd be able to manage, too. In Shounen when someone 2v1s it usually means that the two can't handle the 1 on their own unless compelling evidence is provided.
