So current Goku is way stronger than current Vegeta?

Vegeta could not even touch Hitto, while Goku was fighting pretty well and made him use his full power.

Goku figured out the secret to countering Hit's time leap, whereas Vegeta didn't, which is why Goku performed better. The most this shows is that the gap between Base Goku and Super Saiyan Blue isn't enormous, at least not the standard 50x SSJ gap based on his durability feats, though Base Goku > SSB Vegeta is obviously flawed by the fact that everything else beforehand presents them as equals in terms of power.

It was mainly Goku knowing about Hit's technique and predicting what he will do in the 0.1 seconds, but yeah it is strange how Base Goku who was on par with Assualt Form Frost could take the same hits SSJB Vegeta was damaged from and even make Hit bleed. Perhaps the two base theory is accurate?

I take it as Goku just being naturally durable, moreso than his power output. It is possible Hit was holding back, though since Goku had told him his strategy, I see no reason why Hit would allow that to happen. It'd be completely against his assassin personality to do so.

Vegeta couldn't even see Hitto, while Goku anticipated his movements.

Vegeta even said Hitto's strength is way bigger than he thought, while in the review of the next episode, Goku showed strength on par with him.

As odd as it seems, this shows us Goku >>> Vegeta.

Again, that was due to his Time Leap, which Vegeta had no knowledge of. Goku, on the other hand, went into battle knowing what the Time Leap was and with a strategy to counter it. Vegeta's perception of Hit's strength would also be due to Hit striking his vital areas rather than just using normal attacks, something Vegeta is rarely accustomed to with his opponents.

Throw power-scaling and gaps out the window, focus more on the technique of the individual fighters, and suddenly everything makes sense.

It has already been shown that there is a HUGE difference in power from their Base forms and Super Saiyan God Blue.
