Some Easy Buu Saga Fixes

I think if we could have an editor look over this stuff again, some quick simple fixes could be made very easily.

The idea of Base Saiyans > Piccolo absolutely sucks, Piccolo did quite well against the Cell Juniors, he deserves some respect and should be around a Cell Juniors level by now.

Supreme Kai should be supreme. He should equal CG Goku like the guidebooks say, that's a fitting place above Piccolo and below Buu Saga Gohan.

Gohan should be using SSJ2 against Dabura.

Base Gotenks Post > Ssj Gotenks Pre is stupid, just have Gotenks increase in power marginally.

Those fixes would be great.

Sure. I always found it laughable how Toriyama made Kaioshin/Kibito appear threatening at the Budokai only to completely reverse course at Babidi's ship. Kaioshin is said to be the god of all gods, his power should reflect that.

Either this or make it clear at the Budokai that he isn't able to use SSJ2 freely now.

Yep. Just start Gotenks as a Super Saiyan and much of the bloating disappears from this arc.

Supreme Kai being equal to Cell Games Goku simply doesn't make sense to me. But I agree that Base Saiyans being above Piccolo, as well as SSJ Gotenks Pre being weaker than Base Gotenks Post doesn't make any remotely sense. I have not an strong opinion on which form Gohan was using against Dabura, Dabura can be equal to a suppressed Perfect Cell and it doesn't affect the narrative in my opinion.

Seeing as he restrained SSJ2 Gohan, and took a beating from Boo, even mildly pushing him back with an eye kiai. I don't think having him at CG Goku level is unreasonable. Piccolo likely closed the gap between him and the Cell Jr by this point, or at least close enough and Shin is stated to be in another "dimension".

Gods have special powers that allow them to compete with fighters greatly superior to them. But their actual power level doesn't change. Zamasu is able to affect Super Saiyan God Goku, despite him being weaker than Super Saiyan 3 Goku.

I don't how to respond your first point, but, even then, I don't think magic always correlate to power...

But when it comes to Majin Buu, I don't think anyone were showing their true performance, Vegeta landed several blows at the start of the fight and Trunks was also able to send him flying with a kick...

Also, is worth considering that Shin was surprised at Base Vegeta, that alone makes me wonder if he was truly stronger than Piccolo, or even more which form he was talking about when it comes of oneshotting Freeza (which could be his 1st form). But he definitely ain't Cell Games Goku level.

Base Vegeta is much stronger than Piccolo though.

1. Do you think Supreme Kai could lift the Z-Sword? I don't think so. So he's below Base Saiyans.

2. There is no way around Base Gotenks post> SSJ Gotenks pre, unless the story is rewritten so that Gotenks starts out as SSJ against Super Buu. Just use small multipliers for fusions.

3. Against Dabura, Gohan was in an intermediate state between SSJ and SSJ2.

He can't, Pui Pui is stronger than him.

The Super anime seems to justify this when they show the implication of Base Gotenks > Majin Buu.

Gohan was only a Super Saiyan. Gohan being a Super Saiyan 2 at the Budokai was retconned, backed up by both GT and Super.
