For those who don't know, Spawn was an animated TV series that aired on HBO in the nineties. It was criticality acclaimed and marketed towards a very mature audiences.
Personally I believe it is one of the most faithful and well done adaptations ever made. My question here is whether or not this can be counted as anime.
I have always viewed it as such. It has all the style and makings of anime. Todd McFarlane chose this purposely, as he felt anime was the only medium capable of telling the story in an adult manner. He even had it animated overseas, Korea I believe. Anyway, if you haven't seen Spawn I highly recommend you do.
