I don't think Future Trunks rivals Goku. Goku blocked his attacks with a finger (though Trunks was holding back). I think Trunks (holding back) vs Goku's finger is at least a 75% gap. I have Trunks using 90% of his power... it's more about effort than power. So:

Goku 480

Besides this, Trunks said Goku is even greater than the rumors. I think Trunks was already expecting to meet Son Goku stronger than him. There should be at least a 1.1x gap between Goku [full power] > Goku [trunks' estimations] > Trunks IMO.

According to those rumors, Goku died when Trunks was a little kid. So he only has to be more powerful than he was on Namek, which fits perfectly in line where I have Yardrat Goku.

Or am I missing something here? The whole timeline bullshit is really confusing.

Well, Trunks said Goku would grow ill not too long after that. I think Herms had Goku being sick 6 months after the Mecha saga events.

Future Gohan [1 arm] said he is still not as strong as his dad, probably referring to Yardrat Goku.

Future Gohan: “I made it hoping it would make me as strong as dad was before he died… But I guess it’s not that easy.”


So Future Trunks was expecting to meet a Son Goku at the very least stronger than Future Gohan [1 arm]. I think Future Trunks would expect Goku to be stronger than himself too, since Goku is the guy he will put his confident in.

That's why I was asking for clarification on the timeline stuff earlier you dolt.

Trunks & Goku were standing in one place, and standing Chi is different than fighting Chi. Therefore they were not going all out, thus rendering your 'legends' argument irrelevant and probably a reference towards his reputation as opposed to his actual power.

Future Gohan is in the same range as Future Trunks, who could defeat Mecha Freeza in question of seconds. Mecha Freeza is hot garbage to Future Trunks, so is to Future Gohan (1 arm).

I'm sure someone as cautious as Trunks would not encourage Freeza to go at him at full power if he did not know Mecha Freeza's strength. If he incentivated Freeza to use his full power, he most likely knew Mecha Freeza's full power. Yet he said he could take him in seconds (at least according to Viz):

Freeza being fodder to Trunks is even proven when Goku stated that the Androids must be pretty monstrous for a SSJ capable of killing Freeza in an instant to be scared of them without even bringing up the fact that Freeza wasn't at full power.
