SSj Yadrat Goku VS 80% Piccolo

Goku: “There’s no way I could know that without even seeing them. I’ll answer once I give it a try.”
Piccolo: “You’re pretty carefree…It’s not like I lack confidence…However, I can’t clear this uneasy premonition from my mind…”

This is in reference to foes who were said to be stronger than SSj Yardrat Goku.

Is that all we've got to go on? It doesn't really seem like much to be honest.

I mean, if he doesn't lack confidence against foes who were stated to be far stronger than a Super Saiyan, then it'd make sense for him to be at the very least stronger than SSj Goku on Namek.

Confidence doesn't really mean much in the DBZ world. Gotenks was confident he could beat Fat Buu in base, he got rekt. Hercule was confident he could beat Cell, he got rekt. Goku was confident he could beat Beerus, he got rekt. Cell was confident he could beat SSJ2 Gohan, he got rekt. Frieza was confident he could beat Trunks, he got rekt. Buuhan was confident he could beat Vegito, he got rekt. There's probably more but that's all that comes to mind at the moment.

None of those guys have Piccolo's personality, especially not Gotenks and Satan. The only one who comes anywhere close is Goku, but as far as I'm aware he wasn't even confident that he'd defeat Beerus, he just wanted to see how strong he was. Piccolo is not one to simply charge into a situation without confidence in his own strength.

Oh another example, Vegeta was confident he could beat Perfect Cell, we all know how that turned out XD

But I suppose you're right, Piccolo isn't like any of the others. Still it would be nice to have something more to work with. I forget, how did he compare to Gero/19 ?

He defeated Gero easily, even after he absorbed some energy. It's worth noting that 19, who was weaker than Gero, was capable of making SSj Vegeta bleed with a punch.

Wait, 19 is weaker than Gero? I always thought the marshmallow was the stronger one...huh....

I assume Gero would want 19 to be weaker than him, just in case he decides to revolt against his master. He seemed to get nervous when 19 declared he was going to kill Vegeta, which could mean 19 was starting to approach Gero's power.

Because Cell was suppressing himself, as even 16 pointed out that going only by the chi Cell was outputing, he was inferior to Vegeta.
