Dude Gohan was a joke since the Saiyan Saga, only in the TournamentOfPower he became slightly decent.

Character with actual development and uniqueness >>> Goku clone constantly flip-flopping in his motivations.

ToP Manga Gohan is at least consistent in his motivations, but still not interesting.

Oh that's bad then if Saiyan & the Namek sagas were him peak.

I think Ultimate had a possibility for the character to be interesting but he came off too arrogant & Gohan can't pull off arrogance without coming off as a giant dick.

Goku pulls off arrogance with experience & proper motivation, a reason beyond him, & getting his butt kicked badly before hand something he & Vegeta has in common.

Vegeta pulls it off cause he's a loser.
He has alot of defeats & he is portrayed as a character that gets close but doesn't win it every time, alot less actually.

Both Vegeta & Goku are the underdogs that earn the right to be arrogant whereas Gohan doesn't have that history yet instead has one of dependecy relying on Piccolo or Goku to save him or bare the weight of the world & make things better.

When Gohan gets huge power ups he is similar to an arrogant spoiled rich kid, & i don't like him at all.
The TournamentOfPower against Dyspo Gohan had a huge power up but still relied on others, had a sense that he could lose & it was on his shoulders.
At that point for that episode he was a decent character.
