Cell (true speed)- 100
SSJ Gohan- 100

Cell expects Gohan to do a huge power up once he gets mad. Yet Gohan goes beyond Cell's expectation, judging by the bio android's facial expressions. Cell does a silent power up to match Initial SSJ2 Gohan's power and they fight evenly for a while in the anime filler.

SSJ2 Gohan (expected)- 150
SSJ2 Gohan (initial)- 200
Cell (silent power up)- 200

Cell does one more huge power up to show his full power. SSJ2 Gohan does a silent power up.

Cell (max)- 300
SSJ2 Gohan (silent power up)- 400

Cell reappears after his zenkai and is confident against the power he faced prior.

Cell (zenkai)- 450
Wounded SSJ2 Gohan (final burst)- 450 (won with Vegeta's help)
SSJ2 Gohan (unseen max)- 500

Just throwing my $0.02 here. I think when the daizenshuu says it’s a 100x multiplier, it’s talking about the boost from SSJ1.

Base - 1
SSJ - 50
SSJ2 - 5,000

Something like that.

Future Warrior Daizenshuu says 2x though. But for all we know it could be 2x SSJ Grade 3 :idk

SEG specifies it's 2x SSJ, as does the character bio for SS2 Goku in DBZ Kakarot, though it is interesting to note the SEG specifies 2x the "strength" rather than "battle power" or "Ki" not long after referring to SSJ multiplying Galu's battle power by 50. Perhaps Bird Studios really did want to just leave obsessing over battle powers and multipliers to the fans rather than intricately documenting something never meant to be taken too seriously :idk.

I think it's talking about the same thing essentially. Pretty much all fights in DB are resolved by having a higher Ki and control.

I agree, though I am surprised nobody adamant against the Daiz/SEG multipliers has used that alternate interpretation as a loophole rather than simply ignoring an official source.

Maybe “strength” means “strength of the multiplier” and SSJ2 is actually 2x SSJ1’s multiplier, i.e. 100x SSJ1.

I think I did make a thread implying this a while ago, but damn multplier fanatics didn’t like it :facepalm

Edit: You were the multiplier fanatic all along CC!

I don't even understand the difference between ''Ki'' and ''strength''. Ki is what makes them so strong.

Playing Devil's Advocate and saying it's not referring to a numerical measurement of Ki (ie. battle powers), it could be referring to stats such as physical strength (something we saw with Boo Arc Galu can be enhanced to a degree with enough of a Ki boost through SSJ) or talking about a linear boost in destructive capability since it's quite obvious the battle power readings don't line up with a linear increase in attack potency or speed (aside from Kaioken multipliers which are specifically stated to linearly increase all stats).

I agree that it's not linear, what I'm saying is that having more Ki usually means you are capable of being more stronger and faster than your opponent (with some exceptions, where it could be a hinderance like the Grade forms.)

Toriyama says as much in an interview, Ki and control is everything. Piccolo and Goku won because of Ki control against Raditz, Gohan won against Cell because he gets a new SSJ form that just gives him more Ki. More Ki = More strength. That's why Mr. Satan is so weak, because he has no knowledge of it.

That's why I don't really agree with the distinction. When someone makes a statement that someone is stronger, it's because of more Ki. Unfortunately because of who Toriyama is, that's as simple as it gets.

I agree completely, though I can see why someone could potentially wish to overcomplicate the statement due to it coming directly after SSJ being referred to increase someone's battle power specifically, yet the other two forms referring to strength. I'd say the most likely inference from this difference is simply to denote battle powers played 0 role after the Freeza Arc beyond Trunks' supressed level, with the only character to even use the term afterwards being Vegeta (and that's only because he'd grown accustomed to referring to levels of power as such rather than as Ki, until he'd become further used to his Earthling lifestyle in the Boo Arc).

I think they do say battle power occasionally in the movies as well, but I’m not sure if they’re referencing the scouters or not.
