Pretty much the above. SSJ2 Gogeta is one shot level for Gohan. SSJ3 Gogeta is at minimum Gotenks-Boo level, and he can finish Gohan within the fusion time without difficulty.

I'd say Gogeta may even take it in Scenario 1. Vegetto was very surprised by how easily he could tool Gohan Boo even after Rou-Dai Kaioshin gave Goku a good idea of the kind of boost the Potara would provide, suggesting the rival boost is a pretty relevant factor; and there's no reason Gogeta wouldn't benefit from it too.
