SSJ3 Goku (BoGs) vs Chou Gohan

Anime scale for both. Who's stronger? I've heard Goku is stronger, but why? Can Vegeta stand up to him as well?

Yeah, but that doesn't mean Goku is stronger than SS3 Gotenks/Ultimate Gohan.

Yeah, but that doesn't mean Goku is stronger than SS3 Gotenks/Ultimate Gohan.

Vegeta's reaction to Goku being dealt with in two blows solidifies Goku's superiority for me. Why piss himself right then if he knew Ultimate Gohan and SS3 Gotenks were still there and stronger?

Kind of odd Gohan chose to not to be at least a SSJ after witnessing Beerus stomps Good Boo and Base Gotenks, don't you think? I don't remember Gohan or anyone in BoG saying Gohan lose power from lack of training like in the Boo and FnF Arc.

This is a statement directed at Vegeta, so to Vegeta who is at most on par with SSJ2 Goku an enemy who can two shot Super Saiyan 3 is terrifying.

Gohan had became a scholar and quit his training, losing his Ultimate form so yes he is weaker than Goku now. As for Gotenks. Gotenks was not "there" when Vegeta made that statement and by the time Gotenks was formed Vegeta had a better understanding of Beerus power beyond SS3 Goku being two shot material.

Gohan didn't lose his power yet until FnF and that was clearly stated.

Significance: Again, Vegeta admits Goku is the strongest Saiyan, but is not content to remain in second place. This may imply Vegeta considers Goku stronger than Gohan/Gotenks at this point, unless by “strongest Saiyan” he means “strongest pure-blooded Saiyan”. Or he just refuses to acknowledge Gohan/Gotenks.
