Oden should definitely win. If their Sulong state was such a game changer that they could match or overcome someone stronger than Kaido, an equal to Nekomamushi like Inuarashi would definitely have recommended scheduling the battle for a night when a full moon would be out.

What if they weren't aware of Sulong or never tried it in Wano? They landed at Wano at age 7 so it's not out of the realm of possibility for them not to be informed about it. And the current attack on Onigashima was scheduled during full moon so it must be a factor.

It would be really unlikely that the two Mink leaders would be unaware of their people's trump card ability.
I forgot that they planned it for a full moon, though the fact Inuarashi isn't banking on it to be a decisive factor that can turn the tide suggests it isn't the kind of power that can replicate the feats Oden did.

But they were just kids when they escaped from Zou. I think it's probable that they would be aware of Sulong at their age, but I doubt they would be able to grasp how effective/important it was. They were weaklings who were beaten and tied up by Wano civilians.

Are we sure they aren't banking on it though? Just because there hasn't been any dialogue about it doesn't mean it isn't going to be an asset for the alliance. Oda already showed us how overpowered a weakling like Carrot could become, and we know that Inu and Neko are already on par with Jack. But yeah, I agree that they should fall short of Kaido at the least.

They would've still been on Zou for quite a long time after Oden's death though, which is more than enough time to learn of the ability. Also, considering the main players of the Straw Hat Alliance went into constant detail on their game plan, it would seem very unlikely they wouldn't bring this up as a key factor. Then again, they didn't bring up the Kid Pirates, so Oda removing elements of the battle plan for the surprise factor (despite the lack of realism in doing so) wouldn't be unexpected at this point.
