I mean, the saga that happens right before the Cell-Max Saga is the Granolah Saga. So the reader should assume that the events of the previous saga carried over, no?

Piccolo estimated that the gammas were as strong as UI Sing Goku (Beyond Limits) and Vegeta SSJbe (post yadart). The gammas turned out to be even more powerful.

Well the original anime Super Hero was made before the manga arcs, maybe Toyo just forgot to revise the statement when Adapting the arc to the manga, and Gammas being Blue level makes alot more sense

Sure, that's definitely possible. But until we get proof of that we have to assume that the last iteration we've seen of Goku and Vegeta are equal to the Gammas.

Piccolo is comparing them in a weaker form or he just failed on his estimate. Gohan wasn't shown to be training on the film and still could take them down. At the very best, Gohan is just equal or slightly better than what he was in TOP on which he was no match for Base Toppo who is a rival to Goku/Vegeta.

Well the manga scaling is different. Gohan never fought Toppo in the manga.

Yeah and it shows. The manga scaling is 1,000x more reasonable than the anime scaling which is absolute TOEI madness.

In the movie, the events of the manga didn't happened like Moro or Granolah, Goku's bio is specifically said to be after Broly and Jiren.
