Super Saiyan Kids>Piccolo confirmed?

This is just a recap of the Boo saga, but I thought it was interesting

I've always seen various opinions on the matter, and I know I changed my mind on things throughout the yrs.

So what does everyone else think?

I'm guessing he wrote it. I don't know who else would have any influence over the recap besides the author or an editor.

I always took Piccolo's quote to Krillin as confirmation that the kids were the most powerful beings around now that everyone else was gone. Sure, it could be referring to potential, but since Fusion wasn't known, I'd like to think it was because they were really that powerful. Piccolo seemed to look at Kid Gohan in a similar way when the Saiyans were coming.

Obviously it means they have the potential to be the strongest without the adult Saiyans around. Their whole shtick is potential.

Yea, I think we need to get Herms to translate the original before we confirm this. But for me, that's crystal clear evidence that the boys are stronger than Piccolo. Plain as day except for people who wish to twist words.

And with the mountain of evidence, it seems likely. It's unlikely for Piccolo to be able to replace Goten and Trunks in their sparring matches with Gohan and Vegeta and do as well as the boys did. It's kind of unfathomable if you think of it.

Yeah. The "these kids are our only hope" could be kind of explained by Piccolo seeing their potential as outrageous and likely planning for them to train a lot before facing Boo, but this entry EV provided seems as clear as day. "Leaving two kids - Goten and Trunk - as the strongest warriors in the Earth" isn't referring to a hypothetical power, but to their current powers.

Agreed. Clearly Piccolo's comments were talking about the future and the boys future power. But, Piccolo showed clear inferiority when the boys powered up. Also, the sparring. There's nothing that suggests that Piccolo is stronger, but the fan boys try hard as they may. Would be nice to put the final nail in the coffin though and this looks like it. Someone get Herms to translate that shit.

It surprises me how nobody treats SSJ kids as >> Piccolo if there's an entry as clear as this... I suspect it isn't the same in the original.

As it turns out, the Viz translation is completely different from the original one. The original one makes no mention of Goten and Trunks' strengths
