When Goku Black and Zamasu wish to destroy the Super Dragon Balls, Super Shenron refuses and manifests as Super Omega Shenron. Then he proceeds to erase Zamasu out of existence despite his immortality, to Goku Black's shock and terror: not this kind of power is only rivaled by Zen'O himself. He tries to get away with Shunkan Ido...but he cannot. His powers, alomg with his Godly condition, have been negated...so he dies from asphyxia. The Zero Mortal Plan ended before it even started. Afterwards, he goes to sleep.
Then comes the Tournament of Power. He's pissed that the Gods once again put his powers as the ultimate prize like he was a toy. So once he is summoned...he instantly erase the Gods and Angels. Zeno tries to erase him...but it doesn't work. Then he gets erased too. Once this is done, Super Shenron challenge the mortals to try and deal with the next threat without relying on him and the Gods' powers. First, he makes sure to negate all abilities related to the Gods' abilities (SSJG, SSJB, Potential Unleashed are all banned). Then...he creates a being with the combined powers and abilities of every single one fighter involved in the Tournament. Afterwards, he warps to 17, and as a "prize" for his victory, he pokes his head to mentally show him all the simulations of the fight against his new warrior...they win...once out of several billions of scenarios. Even then, there is only one survivor.
And the winner will gain...nothing. If the mortals win, that means they can leave without the Gods and Super Shenron's powers...so they won't be able to bring back any victim. If the new warrior wins...that means both the Gods and the Mortals were failures...and Super Shenron will rebuild a new world with his a new race: his own. Oh, and those who didn't die on the battlefield ? They will be permanently killed off like the rest, in all timelines (Obviously ! Where is the fun if that wasn't the case ?)
Bright side: the spared universes and all of Universe 7's warriors that weren't imvolved with the Tournament can surprise Super Shenron's warrior. Dark side: a Reset Button is no longer an option, no matter the outcome of the battle.
