I bumped the boost up to 2.5x.

Piccolo + Kami = 2x
Piccolo (+ Nail) + Kami = 2.5x

That's my new theory. It's admittedly uncorroborated, but I think it can work.

I agree the early Android arc is messy.

Haha, well your new theory is an old one of mine. Haha. I actually like that much better honestly, the 2.5x boost opens up a lot of leeway for other issues such as the correlation for tanking gaps. If Piccolo vs 17 is indeed 50%, then that forces Cell vs Gohan to be 60%. The bigger the gap between 17 and Piccolo the better for all of power level lists.

Let me see what you got with Piccolo at 40% of 17?

I'm assuming that's everyone you wanted. My only problem is having #19 so low because of his feats against Vegeta (I have #20 post > #19 post), but I believe Kyo or Pyrus had some explanation for it.

Also, turns out it's only 2.22x. My bad.

I've generally always gone with 19 Post > 20 Post. There's not much to suggest that 20 is all that strong, the only issue with him is that they've become so accustomed to using ki sensing they forgotten how to use their eyes to track their opponents.

19 Post is at least somewhat close to Vegeta, Piccolo, who is not a Super Saiyan and is not in their realm of power, easily defeating 20 suggests that 20 isn't all that strong.

It's really pretty impossible to have Piccolo > 20 > 19.

Well, 19 post is still thrashed by Vegeta who has enough physical strength to tear his arms off, while he is being drained. 19 also had no defense against the Big Bang Attack (despite having no arms obviously).

When Piccolo fights 20, a lot of his hits are when Gero is off guard and not thinking about the fight. I think a 1.2x gap fits that pretty well.

So where would you put #19 post on my scale? I still think Piccolo should at least be able to handle #19 post + #20 pre.

Piccolo- He really did lose most of his power...Just to confirm that the androids drain chi from their palms...If No.20 had stood his ground, he'd have beaten Vegeta easily. It was a beautiful bluff. He truly is a great warrior.

So are we going with the theory that the Big Bang Attack is some super draining attack? Seems like he lost most of his power from 19 absorbing it from him to me.

Well I don't know. It shouldn't be all that draining at that point in the manga.

But yeah, if he still could destroy 19 post while being weak, bu 20 pre would have beaten him, does that not suggest that 20 pre > 19 post?

20- A problem...This increase is so far above what the data projected that at this rate, #19's energy will run dry before he's able to absorb Son Goku's power.

If the ass whooping Goku was putting on 19 was getting to a point where 19 energy was depleting, the ass whooping Vegeta was putting on him must have depleted him greatly...

Now I think 20 can be > 19, but I don't think there is any statement or anything that suggest it has to be true is all I'm saying.

All in all, Vegeta seems to be more impressed with Piccolo than 19 Post but that may be entirely due to expectation.

Why is #19 ( Post Vegeta's ki ) weaker than himself after the Kamehameha ?

Unless you think the BBA is some massive ki draining attack I'd say yes. Piccolo seems to suggest that 19 draining his ki is what made Vegeta so weak, not doing some ki blast.
