In this scenario, Kuririn collected the Nyoibo and Dragon Ball before watching the finals. Tambourine instead only steals the Budokai contestant list, with the gang finding the Mazoku symbol and Roshi informing them of Piccolo Daimao. With Goku not rushing off and Kuririn still alive, how does the story unfold?

Goku/Krillin are with Roshi/Ten/Chaozu during the rejuvenation event.

Scenario 1: After Roshi's mafuba fails, Goku brainlessly attacks Piccolo and gets killed. Tenshinhan is killed
by Drum later. Piccolo rules the Earth until the Saiyans come.

Scenario 2: Roshi drugs them all with the same sleep medicine as Tien in canon. Tien trains mafuba while
Goku goes to visit Korin. Most likely, Ten is dead by the time Goku arrives, so Goku is killed as well, since
Tien isn't there to save him as in canon.
If Goku somehow wins, they are all killed by Vegeta later, since Yadjirobe isn't there to cut off his tail.
Freeza doesn't get his wish on Namek, gets mad and destroys the planet along with Vegeta.

I don't think much changes in the initial arc. The biggest difference would be Yajirobe never being found, since Goku never recklessly charges off. So they just die when Saiyan arc happens, because Yajirobe isn't there to cut off Vegeta's tail.

All the contestants will be hunted down regardless and if Goku doesn't hunt down Tambourine he will succeed in his mission. He'll probably end at Goku and/or Tenshinhan though, but the rest he'll kill easily. I think the rest will be more or less the same, with the potential of both Goku and Ten being 'trained' for showdown with King Piccolo.
