I think both sides have their logical flaws due to SSJ Majin Vegeta being treated as a bigger threat than Dabura.

In the Budokai he has sparks, against Dabura he doesn't, which is why I think he drew more power out of SSJ2 in the Budokai. Perhaps he still had some leftover anger from Spoppovitch beating up Videl.

Jokes aside, the fight was like 10 years later than in the main timeline so you can just say Dabura got stronger through fighting. On top of timeline shenanigans.

I go with SSJ2 Trunks (initial unlock) >> Future Dabura > SSJ Future Trunks (Z sword) > SSJ2 Kid Gohan > SSJ2 Teen Gohan > Present Dabura >= SSJ Teen Gohan.

Demons live millions of years. Ten years is nothing to them and Dabura doesn't strike me as the type as someone who has ever really struggled during a fight that would make him much stronger.

Ten years may be nothing to them but it is plenty of time to get stronger, especially since Super shows Boo getting stronger and his lifetime is infinite. Since Boos meter was nearly filled by the time Trunks fought Dabura, he had to have fought to deal damage and timeline shenanigans have made characters stronger for no reason before. Not to mention Trunks said he'd never have gotten so strong without the Z sword training, so Future Dabura > Present Dabura is more than possible imo.

Both Shin and Trunks act like Boo is on the verge of revival and Babidi says "It took 10 years to gather all that energy to revive Boo!" The narration after Babidi and Dabura are defeated also openly states Boo would have been revived without Shin's sacrifice.

"All that energy" plus them only having one SSJ opponent (who quickly took down Yakon and PuiPui) implies Trunks' damage energy is all they need to revive Boo. Shin and Kibito's God Ki can't be used to revive Boo.

How do you respond to Vegeta saying they are both stronger than Gohan is now. Is Vegeta factoring in Gohan's Super Saiyan 2 power here?

We know SSJ2 Budokai Gohan and SSJ2 burst Goku are above adult SSJ level for sure, and yet Goku seems to think just going SSJ2 will give him the ability to finish the fight with Majin Vegeta quickly. The narrative definitely seems to suggest Vegeta having SSJ2 was a surprise, which only makes sense if Vegeta was comparing SSJ Gohan to himself in Goku's mind. Or, Goku just wasn't paying attention
