I just find it weird how even though Tenshinhan spend 7 years training everyday and still has yet to surpass Kuririn who isn't even a fighter anymore.

Kuririn's potential unlock probably gave him a large advantage over Tenshinhan. They were also probably pretty close in power at the Saiyan arc.

According to Daizenshuu 7, Tien has a job on the farms, so i don't think he actually trained that much. This is also supported by the fact Gohan, who is known for his kindness when it comes to his friends, didn't say anything about Tien powering up considerably since they last met, so taking all of that into account, Krillin takes this 9/10

There is very minor evidence of Tenshinhan being stronger than Krillin at this point. On the other hand, pretty much everything points to Krillin being stronger. Yamcha says it, Akira Toriyama says it in a 2004 interview, the promo material for BOG says it, I think the promo material for ROF even repeated the BOG excerpt, and Krillin didn't give a shit if Tenshinhan was invited to the tournament or not and was perfectly fine taking 5th place regardless.

Yeah, even if Yamcha doesn't know exactly how strong Tenshinhan is after these 7 years, his statement is still not contradicted in any way, so it's still a solid evidence that Kuririn > Tenshinhan.

How do we know for a fact Ten's been training all this time and even if he was that's just maintenance training, not all training makes you stronger. Besides we have no idea what kind of gap there was between them prior to the Boo arc. One could make the argument that Ten (Post King Kai) is Dodoria/Zarbon tier seeing as the Ginyu Force battle was filler while Kuririn is relevant to First Form Freeza by that point.
