The drawbacks of Grade 2?

They make a point to point out how terrible of a form Grade 3 is yet we are never given any reasons for why Grade 2 should never be used.

I think it's the strain issue. The difference between a regular SSjin and ASSjin are strength and strain. It doesn't really drain your stamina but it's not a good form to fight for longer battle IMO.

I think Grade 2 boost reduces as one masters SSJ until it becomes insignificant so it's not worth the stamina drawbacks.

As already mentioned, stamina is the main issue. This is even more apparent when remembering the advantage Cell has due to his regeneration that would allow him to win a war of attrition against the Saiyans if they relied on it, not to mention the training that goes towards mastering SSJ in general seems to be far more effective in general.

Well, yes, they're always lumped together as one entity, but Super Saiyan Grade 3 is always the one that people pointed out the mistakes with, as if Grade 2 wasn't a noticeable drop in comparison.
