There's also the Kingdom kdrama (unrelated), about zombies in ancient korea. Espo recommended it to me. I tried watching it but it was kinda gross and I was trying to eat (worse than watching that furry anime, Beastars, while eating).
One Piece has a truncated version called One Pace. But I don't keep up any more.

You're definitely not missing out on Daima. Just skip to the last episode when Gokuu and co have finally turned back into adults

It would cost so much and use so much resources to do it properly (animation, a proper non-plagiarised score, voice acting) and wouldn't make much money probably. DBZ merch still sells well without needing a boost. Animating new shows probably pulls in more (tho tbh I'm not sure if Toei animates anything besides DB and One Piece). Maybe when Super dies down and if the new gen of kids don't watch OG DBZ, it'll be a good time for a remake.
Idk why they haven't done a new Kai release, with Shunsuke's score throughout. Unless they actually don't have the music anywhere and can't buy it.

I think a part of why I find it distasteful in both GT and Daima (which I haven't seen yet, in large part for this very reason) is that it is rather shamelessly trying to invoke the good ol' days and pander to nostalgia rather than doing anything new or exciting with the series. Honestly modern Dragon Ball in general has a big issue with this.
Like there are sooooo many characters you could utilise instead. Hell Goten is right there and he's practically a clone of Goku appearance-wise, not really much different in personality either. But no, we're going to get more Goku and Vegeta Ball Z even though both of them were finished changing as characters in the Buu arc. There's nowhere to really go with these two as your lead characters anymore, the whole concept is rotten. It's just fanservice for the sake of fanservice.
I'll still watch it all anyway though
