Thoughts about Kid Buu

Was it ever stated he had unlimited stamina? Is it possible he was just >>SSJ3 Goku and wasn't fatigued because he wasn't really trying? I mean, all statements in that battle make it sound as if Goku couldn't win, because of power, not because of stamina. In the end, he even admitted he needed to train to beat Kid Buu the next time they fought.

It is noted in the series that Boo is invulnerable and has infinite stamina, so it sounds more like Goku is just repeating this. Doesn’t many any sense for Goku to say “he’s not getting weaker because he’s not even trying!” if even a trying Boo would get weaker.

Looking at the fight Goku does appear to be giving Boo a run for his money, but I don’t know how much effort Boo is putting. He’s definitely at least close to full power though.

Well, yeah, Goku said that Buu's stamina doesn't fall... I don't know if the argument of Buu playing around can serve to the purpose of Kid Buu being stronger than Goku.. Especially when Kid Buu while playing around proved to be able to defeat both Vegeta and Good Buu. I personally view both Kid Buu and Goku as equals. The train purposes could also be because of stamina issues, since he doesn't lack the power of defeating Kid Buu.

If anything, Buu is unhinged, and that's reflected by his chaotic fighting style which happens to work well for him anyway. The factor of his ki never dropping, along with the plot point of Goku not anticipating the strain of SSJ3 in an alive body, is what screwed Goku over in terms of the 1 on 1. Makes perfect sense for him to want to train to prevent such risks if they ever have to fight Buu again.

Goku literally states that if he was able to gather all of his ki as a SSJ3, he'd be able to decimate Boo. At the very least, the level of ki that Boo was giving off was less than Goku's maximum.

That means nothing. There are many cases in DBZ in which the weaker fighter could win with a huge blast if the stronger fighter could not regenerate.

It's not only that. It's also the fact that Goku was confident enough in fighting Pure Boo without resorting to gathering all of his ki, and was annoyed when Boo's ki hadn't decreased.

Chapter: 510 (DBZ 316), P12.1
Context: after Goku fights pure Boo for awhile
Goku: “…Dammit…! Like I thought, even if I keep doing the same thing, that bastard’s stamina doesn’t fall…! He just returns to being good as new right away…”

Chapter: 510 (DBZ 316), P13.1-6
Vegeta: “Don’t hesitate for my sake, and finish him off! With that Super Saiyan 3, you should be able to completely wipe out Boo with your ki once you gather it with all your might…!”
Goku: “Ye…yeah…I’ve been thinking of doing that as well since awhile back, but…I haven’t gotten the chance.”
Vegeta: “Eh?”
Goku: “If I want to wipe him out, I gotta gather ki for about one minute.”
Vegeta: “One minute?!”
Goku: “Dammnit~~~If it was with the Potara, I could have done it in one blast. …..Cheh~~~I guess I went and showed off too much. But I thought things would go a little better than this…!”
Vegeta: “…S …So you weren’t thinking of me…”
