I wouldn’t call landing a couple blows outperforming, but Vegeta’s Final Flash should definitely be the strongest thing a Saiyan has ever done up to that point. Belmond couldn’t believe a Saiyan could muster so much power IIRC.

Kaioshin said it actually, and Jiren was pretty quick to blast Vegeta across the stage and revert him to base after. Vegeta pretty much just got Jiren off balance by reading his movements, but once Jiren figured that out he was done.

Belmod treats it as Vegeta getting stronger but the point remains that he compared Vegeta's current power using Final Flash compared to the one Vegeta displayed before where Belmod explicitly states that he was overwhelming Jiren.

Belmond says “to when he was fighting before”, but the fight was 1/3rd Vegeta stomping and 2/3rd Jiren stomping.

I agree but there were clearly moments where Vegeta was overpowering him.
