Let's say that Vegeta didn't deal a fatal blow to Zarbon and agreed to work with him to defeat Freeza when conceding one ally is better than none. They leave Kuririn and Bulma alone on Vegeta's order after being elated at this turn of events as in the main timeline. How do things progress from here?

Zarbon probably betrays Vegeta when they are on the losing end against Reacoom, resulting in Vegeta's death, with Kuririn and Gohan following not long afterwards. Goku arrives too late and ends up getting body switched by Ginyu without anybody to help, so he ends up dying along with the rest of Namek when Freeza blows it up in frustration at not getting his wish. Ginyu-Galu eventually goes the Goku Black way and unlocks Galu's power through zenkais, but still remains loyal to Freeza and their army continues their rule over the universe until perhaps running into Dabura and Babidi, at which point Freeza is brainwashed to become another one of Babidi's pawns and Ginyu is killed. Majin Boo awakens after over a decade similar to in Future Trunks' timeline, and just kills them all eventually.

Wouldn't it be more likely that Ginyu and the rest of the Freeza Force would align with Babidi though, considering Babidi would at least see them as decent foot soldiers? That, or would Ginyu perhaps use his Body Change on Dabura?

Other than that, I see your scenario as being one of the two likely scenarios. The other one is that Zarbon remains true to his word due to knowing Freeza would otherwise execute him for incompetence, in which case we have a different turn of events. When Kuririn and Gohan attack Reacoom, Zarbon joins in and deals some decent damage to Reacoom due to Kuririn closing his mouth mid-Eraser Gun leaving him vulnerable. They probably manage to take own Reacoom together just in time for Galu to deal with Butta and Jheese and things progress normally until the Ginyu-Goku battle, with Zarbon managing to weaken Ginyu pretty quickly and the battle progressing overall a lot quicker than in canon. Zarbon then goes with Kuririn to find Dende, Kuririn judging it as a safer bet than leaving him with the Dragon Balls. Seeing it as better than nothing in overcoming Freeza, Kuririn tells Zarbon about the Grand Elder's ability and has him go there once Dende rendezvous with them due to Zarbon knowing the location from following Vegeta after his rage outburst prior. The Grand Elder accepts Zarbon's request as Zarbon has proven his ability to aid them against Freeza and little option is left, unlocking his potential not long before his death. Zarbon would be brought into the 200k range from this, though he'd have little chance to help out in the battle against Freeza due to being too far away and everything prior to Freeza's true form occurring in the span of 10-30 minutes or so iirc. That said, Zarbon's role ends here when it comes to the Freeza Arc.
Upon being brought to Earth, Zarbon starts living at Capsule Corp. and Vegeta takes him on as a sparring partner, partially for the satisfaction of beaten up the one who gloated as his superior for years. Eventually, Zarbon sets out into space to clean up the remnants of the Freeza Force, reforming it as the Zarbon Empire and deciding to make it far more of a governing organisation than a tyrannical company due to knowing he can't defeat the warriors of Earth. That said, FnF never happens. The events of Z and most of Super play out the same until the ToP Arc, in which the lack of Freeza would mean one of two things. Either Boo is thrown in the Rosat until he wakes up (for the manga continuity as Vegeta didn't destroy the room) and it leads to an easier victory for U7, or he's replaced with Yamcha and the lack of Freeza leads to either a tie with #17 and Galu having to take Jiren down with them or Jiren defeats them and U7 is erased.

It doesn't seem like Majins can be sensed in the manga other than Majin Vegeta, so Ginyu likely wouldn't know how powerful Dabura is and just end up getting killed before he could use body change. Either that, or he might try it on a weaker Babidi henchman like PuiPui and then be killed off/brainwashed afterwards.

Considering Dabura is constantly at Babidi's side, even someone like Ginyu could probably deduce that this was Babidi's most capable servant.

They'd at least have to fight first for Ginyu to realize how powerful Babidi's men are, and he'd likely end up resorting to his body change against PuiPui or the second-stage fighter at the latest since Ginyu likely wouldn't have unlocked SSJ without a pure, calm heart.

I think that, in that case, Bulma would most likely end up with Zarbon rather than Vegeta, so there would be no Trunks.

Bulma was and would be instantly turned off from Zarbon as soon as he used his Monster form though.

Ginyu becomes :1down and ultimately becomes :giraffe

After stomping :gay and :pyro he takes :fearless body. He is unable to use it well so farmer shotties him. With a Super bullet in the chamber it's a pretty easy one shot.
