In any scenario he gets it, he oneshots his opponent.
Most logical point to have it would be against Cell for a "MY TRUNKS!" moment. He obliterates SPC so Gohan doesn't get injured and things end a little anticlimactically. Assuming it's permanent (which the Super manga seem to be rolling with), he's the top dog in the Boo Arc by a wide margin, be it with the Zet-Senshi or against Boo's forms, so there's basically no conflict. Boo is easily eradicated (I assume Vegeta would still let him be revived by fighting Goku in order to birth an opponent who can give him a challenge) and things become peaceful.
For Super, Beerus likely doesn't have his SSG dream due to Goku being dead and doesn't go to Earth, so assuming Vegeta trains to the level he's at what his MY BULMA self was at the time, he'd still get easily killed by Golden Freeza eventually, with him conquering the universe once more, until Zen-Oh feels like erasing it.
