In almost every thread we see, it is practically certain that one of the characters in the hypothetical battle being presented is going to suffer an overwhelming defeat, if only due to the fact that thy lack the sheer power to face the other character in question. Why do we do this to ourselves? Is it simply to make us feel more intelligent for thinking about something, when really what we're doing takes only the most basic reading comprehension?
