In the Baby/Uub fight, we aren't given a reason to believe that anything other than the Revenge Death Ball itself was getting further powered up. In the Baby/Goku fight, we know that he himself got a power increase because he obtained his final form. Besides each of Baby's transformation boosts, there doesn't appear to be any other increases to his overall battle power.
