Was a reason given for why the Florian Triangle is so dangerous?

Surely with a log posse it doesn't matter that it's dark?
There are no storms there, unlike the Bermuda Triangle.
I remember waiting for them to reveal it, but they never did.

That makes sense. It has those eye wrinkles.

The anime had it like this. The middle and right ones seem to have a gap, like they have long legs. Oda probably told them to do that, even though it's not visible in the manga.

Still odd that they would destroy so many ships. Zunesha seemed quite docile in Zou.

Brook's crew were attacked by other pirates. So many a lot of the death is from pirates being able to use the fog as cover for an attack, if they have any level of observation haki or have figured out how to read the movement of the fog to guess where a ship is.

Maybe Zunesha is docile because of working with Joy Boy. He could be an intelligent black sheep of his species. Or they could be different species or subspecies, since they're separated by the Red Line. He's the only one left of his subspecies. His family were killed as punishment, and he was made to walk the world.

Could just be sea kings. Some have red eyes. Maybe it's something with a power to make people lose their senses and get stuck in the fog. Whatever it is tho, it didn't eat Brook's crew. So it doesn't come after crews to eat them. It only bothers them either when the crews come near or from a distance but with the intention of just killing the crews, with no interest in them after that.
Or it's just a red herring.

I'm surprised nobody's asked in an SBS yet. Or they have, but it's just been ignored.
