Was Frieza Training to be a God of Destruction?

Not only did Beerus commission Frieza to destroy planet vegeta, but he seemingly tapped into some form of God ki with his Golden Frieza form. Any other evidence to support thus theory?

Only what Beerus said, but I doubt he was, just a convenient pawn to use so he could cat nap longer. The theory itself holds about as much weight as the theory that Buu was the original GoD. Sounds awesome and I like the sound of both theories, but evidence? Not necessarily.

He did say about senssing Goku's power but it seems like he was more guessing than sensing IMO.

Mortals can sense god ki, they just need to be strong enough which is why Whis`said that Goku and Vegeta were barely at the level where they can feel god ki.
