Was Future Vegeta a SSJ vs #17 and 18?

I am thinking about making a new power level list and wondering if I should go with the anime's interpretation of Vegeta being a SSJ in the fight.

Trunks didn't seem surprised by Vegeta being a Super Saiyan, so maybe he was told by Gohan that he was one when he died.

I doubt it. That was already at the tail end of the fight.

Could also be the opposite. The Z Senshi are clearly damaged in that panel. Maybe he was knocked out of SSJ with one hit.

Maybe. Vegeta did revert to base upon blasting SPC, but that’s the only time a SSJ reverts to base without being knocked out.

It's not a consistent thing though. Goku was knocked out of SSJ against 19 while still being conscious. It's not unreasonable for a far weaker future Vegeta to be less capable of taking attacks.

Not to mention he was knocked out of SSJ2 against Pure Boo while remaining conscious. It's not without precedent.

Well if Future Vegeta was a SSJ and 17 (and 18) really used under half their power to kill him than that really widens the gap between Mecha Freeza and early Android arc SSJs even more.

Why's that? Vegeta doesn't need to be that strong in the future. As long as he's a decent amount above his Namek self that should be fine.

I am thinking on 2.4 Million for Namek Vegeta and 3 Million for Goku. I think Vegeta equals Goku by the time Freeza comes to Earth and after the three years I think he should at least be 1.25 times stronger.

That's fairly close to what I'd have. It's also possible that Vegeta stopped training as diligently after Goku's death. I'm fine with him being ahead of Namek Goku level as a Super Saiyan.

Daizenshuu 6 says he was around the same level as Goku when he died, but that’s a bit too high. Gohan wasn’t in the battlefield so maybe he didn’t know how strong Vegeta was?

Maybe Gohan thought it was Vegeta when Goten first went SSJ. It's implied that was the brother's first training session so Gohan might not have been familiar with Goten's ki yet.

Becoming a Super Saiyan was, like, his only purpose in life. There is no way he didn't pull it off within 3 years.
