And yeah, he's only SSJ. A powering up aura is always colored yellow, but he has no lightning and his aura is white for the remainder of the fight.

Well it doesn't make sense for him to be a SSJ considering he showed the ability to go SSJ2 in the Budokai at will (which is already a bit nonsense imo), but oh well.

I'm going with no. It looks like the writer had a change of mind. Gohan went from bringing out Super Saiyan 2 pretty easily, to not being able to do it at all.

I think the writer is inconsistent. It doesn't make sense at all. As I mentioned in the other thread, Vegeta's thoughts are clear. Super Saiyan 2 Gohan is a laughable power, an angry Gohan however, he is unsure about.
