Appearance-wise, Gohan is definitely a Super Saiyan. That can't be disputed. Stuff like Kaioshin telling Kibito he wasn't around to see Gohan's incredible power seems to imply otherwise, though. Kibito saw Super Saiyan 2 Gohan right in front of him, so what awesome power from Gohan did he not see?

I guess I've just gotten worn out from the debate in general. Most people think Super Saiyan Trunks struggling against Dabra in the Super manga is another piece of evidence towards the Super Saiyan 2 form, too. I can honestly see it from both POV's.

Random story: I read my first DBZ Manga in 2007. It was by total accident, too. I was trying to get one of the DBZ Season DVD's at the video store, but there weren't any I was looking for. Only the Cell Saga, which was Season #5, I believe. I then saw a DBZ book that I thought was a coloring book or something. This was the Boo saga volume where Fat Boo first appeared. Once I began to read it, I thought the artwork was pretty nice regardless of the fact that it was in black and white. All they had were a few of the Boo saga volumes that day, so I got the Fat Boo one and the following one with Super Saiyan 3 Goku. I was hooked.

Became a huge fan of the Manga ever since.

Random story time? Oh shit, well in that case, I first saw DBZ when I was 14 on Toonami. Saiyajin Ocean dub arc... Confused Yamcha for Goku first couple episodes, didn't know wtf, just liked the action, was hooked, went from there, years later, bada boom, we met on GameFAQS, shit happened, here we are now! Lol....

I was never too huge on manga.... I like it, I respect it and it's validity over the anime (aside from Super), etc... but I always preferred anime to manga. Same goes for marvel/dc/etc TV series and movies over comics.

Although I want to start reading the Walking Dead comics.

I came across the anime first but that's because that was when I was like 7 and didn't really understand the story. I even thought Super Boo (who was taller than Gohan) was the same guy as Kid Boo back then while watching old VHS recordings and wondered why the fuck the dude got so small against Vegeta and Goku, lol.

Read the manga a year or two later and was up to volume 36 (around the beginning of the Boo arc) or so by the time I was 10 in 2002. Just kind of reread it over and over as it was one of my first manga and is by no means bad, yah. I used to own all the kanzenban volumes before I left them at my folks' house when I moved out
