He played smart and managed to eliminate that annoying bugs bunny lol. I wished he fought Toppo longer though but still I'm satisfied for his performance though.

No. Most of the focus he had was hyping him up as having developed into an actual fighter, only for him to keep lowering his guard and holding back for arbitrary reasons.

Not really. I was honestly surprised by his rather mediocre showing considering all the hype he was receiving prior. I had honestly expected him and #17 (who while received a massive power up didn't have all the hype surrounding him that Gohan had) to trade places in this tournament. With 17 making it to the U11 battle but falling after a decent show against one of them and Gohan being the winner and ultimate savior of the universe.

It's clear the writing room was constantly being shuffled around when Gohan got a ton of hype prior to the tournament, even trading blows with Blue Goku and hinting at his own evolved transformation, but then felt like another one of the guys in the actual tournament. He didn't really get his own standout moment like Goku, Vegeta, Freeza, and 17. He eliminated Dyspo, but that was with the help of Freeza, and he couldnt do shit against Toppo.
