My #1 memorable game file is my original FireRed. It was one of the first times I had ever completely finished a Pokemon game, got a Pokemon to level 100 legitimately (my Charizard starter), and also just one of my first Pokemon games (along with the RSE games). I probably had hundreds of hours racked up on it. Some other notable mentions:

1. A Pokemon Gold file where I got my first legitimate shiny, a Rapidash
2. A Pokemon Silver file where I had to reset because I got lost in Whirlpool Islands without Flash or an escape rope (lol)

What about y'all? Hopefully some of you have files that sound more interesting/exciting than mine.

I picked up a used copy of Yellow at some long gone game store back in 99 or 2000 that had Mew at 99 and I was enamored with it.

The Pokemon Platinum save file in which I'd done damn near every event legitimately via wifi or Toys R Us/GameStop, which my sister then randomly proceeded to overwrite at some point that I don't even recall. Just remember going back to the game again after a really long time and feeling aghast upon seeing a brand new save file that was like 3 gyms deep at best.

Close second would be my Emerald file, just because I'd logged so many hours into that one. Can't find the cartridge unfortunately.

Probably my Emerald save file, which deleted itself a few years ago unfortunately. It was the first game I had completed the Pokedex in, and I got some masochistic enjoyment out of repeatedly challenging some Battle Frontier facilities long after I'd completed the game so hard that I had filled up all my boxes at one point (partly due to mass cloning) and needed to transfer shit to my DS cartridges instead.

Another one that's worth mentioning is my old Ruby file, mostly because it was the first Pokemon cartridge I'd owned that wasn't just a pre-GBC era piece of shit like my first Yellow version.

Probably the Crytal file where I beat the game for the very first time. It was my first time beating a Pokémon game, after I beat Lance, I legit COULD NOT put the game down and spend hours playing it.

Another would be my final HG file where I logged over 300-400 hours on it, the most time I ever spent on one file.

A Crystal file I had when I was a child where I raised a Dragonite, Tyranitar and Heracross to level 100. Only reason why it's the most memorable is because instead of doing it against the Elite 4 I just kept battling random wild Pokemon. Wish I knew how many hours I put on it because the level of the wilds in that game are low as hell everywhere you go.
