...even though strength is the only thing he's ever taught him?

Yeah he literally didnt teach him jack aside from delivering milk and moving rocks.

I thought that was always flawed, considering Karin even said Goku's movements resemble Roshi's to a T. So I guess all it takes to be a master of martial arts with centuries of fighting experience is to deliver milk and spend a few months rigorously training?

Hell, I'm not even sure Goku is aware he actually fought Roshi when he fought Jackie Chun. At least if you count that Roshi taught him something I guess, since Goku copied Chun's moves in that fight.

I'm pretty sure Roshi never told him about it, which makes his line sound pretty hollow.

Terrible. One of Goku's talent is to adapt during the battle whether mentally or physically.

It was trash, considering we know that Goku had long since surpassed Roshi in skill.

I'll catch a cat, lock ourselves in my house and chase it to the attic and back to the living room for 3 days. All this stairclimbing and chasing will turn me into a martial arts master. If that doesn't work, I'll just drink a glass of poison and I'll become the ultimate fighting machine.
