What happened in the un-seen time-line?

All the way to the Boo saga & beyond?
-Future Trunks and Krillin go to search in Gero's lab, hoping to find something useful (in the main timeline, they discussed doing that before finding out about Cell's existence), so they discover the underground lab and get the blueprints. Then they destroy the lab, along with the timeline's Cell, and leave.
-Over the following days, everybody's waiting as Bulma makes the remote control and Goku recovers from the virus.
-When Goku recovers, he tells everyone about the Spirit Room. Vegeta and Trunks go in first; Goku and Gohan wait outside.
-When the Androids reach Kame House, Kami realizes the situation is severe, so he is finally convinced to merge with Piccolo in this timeline too. Kamiccolo flies over to Kame House to fight the Androids.
-The fight Piccolo vs Seventeen lasts longer than in canon. Piccolo manages to win using Light Grenade as his trump card, but then he also has to face a furious Eighteen. With his stamina low by now, he's in a difficult situation.
-Krillin appears. Seeing Eighteen is about to kill Piccolo, he does not hesitate to press the button, so Eighteen is killed. Sixteen decides it's time to fight. He threatens to kill them if they don't tell him where Goku is and promises to leave them alone if they do.
-Goku teleports there to surrender. The fight Sixteen vs Goku begins. Sixteen goes straight for the kill, not giving Goku the time he needs to prepare a Solar Flare/Spirit Bomb combo.
-Vegeta and Trunks come out of the Spirit Room and kill Sixteen.
-Goku contacts the others and tells them he's decided it's better to leave him dead (for the same reasons he made that decision in the main timeline).
-Seven years later, a weaker Goku appears for the 25th Budokai. As a result, Vegeta isn't jealous of him, so Majin Vegeta never surfaces. The Z-Fighters defeat Dabura one way or another.

If Goku dies does that mean Gohan doesn’t train & become an SSJ? He never became an SSJ?

Trunks was trained by Kaio-Shin in the future to defeat Dabura if he can I’m sure some-how the others can as-well.

Also why couldn’t Goku achieve SSJ2 or SSJ3 in the after-life?

Come to think of it, they never found blueprints for 16's button, right?

No they didn't.
In that case, #16 might not stop. Which’d be interesting. Do you apply DB-Super time-travel logic to this? If so Cell’d be there regardless I think. How do you think things would turn out?

It’d be interesting if Toei made a series or movie on this.

I don't think he'd have figured it out so fast if he hadn't seen Gohan doing it before. Also, he'd have never gotten his one year of training in the ROSAT. I think in the best case, he'd have come back as a weak SSJ2.

Goku was already looking for ways to surpass SSJ, which he did in the RoSaT. I wouldn’t be surprised if he could surpass that SSJ too (well maybe).
