Yeah, that’s what I thought (that’s why I said I think I mentioned it before) but they re-aired it too and I think I watched it late 2023 so it’s close. This time I definitely watched the ending too. I’m not sure if I watched the ending before. The ambience to the series is great and also the lo-fi OST.
You know you say that, but we don’t really know how old in vampire years the vampire is. Maybe she is the equivalent of a teenager (but more mature because she does seem more mature at certain times than MC) or so herself? Which also brings me to Re:Zero. I forgot to say I watched that too and that too has a 100+ year old or so female lead, except the female lead in her race is like the equivalent of a teen or pre-teen even (especially mentality because you can tell) which makes MC’s obsession with her even worse than it already is.
Re:Zero has a really, really unlikeable protagonist. His obsession is weird and he’s kind-of a weirdo too, but the gimmick and story outside of that is interesting. The time gimmick is similar to Summer-Time-Rendering that I mentioned before. I had a more fun time with Summer-Time-Rendering though IIRC. I watched the first season or two of re:Zero. Currently trying to watch the 3rd I think, but so much dialogue (not that much but still have to concentrate) and I can’t concentrate. It’s fun if you like psychological torture-pr0n. It’s kind-of psychological horror/thriller, so if that’s your kind-of thing maybe you’ll like it. Same with Summer-Time-Rendering, but that might for the most part be less intense for the most part…but certain points (in STR) might actually have more intense peak than re:Zero.
I finished watching Haibane-Renmei. Good series, but MC made some decisions that made one shake their head. In the end, like last 2 episodes or so you’d think maybe Reki was the MC, because it’s all about her. Was worth watching.

And I’m glad it had a happy-ending/hopeful ending.
