How long ago did you watch it?

I don’t 100% remember. I think I wrote what I thought of that series here & it wasn’t long after I watched I think. Maybe around end (December-ish) of last year or beginning of this year (January). Steins;Gate is another series I watched around that time. It wasn’t long-ago at-all. It was during the time I was away from here I think.

On a side-note did you watch serial-experiments-lain? That’s another good series, even-though very different but Sci-Fi.

No I never watched Lain. I know Kyo thought it was decent but that was over a decade ago.

serial-experiments-lain is amazing. the only thing is some people might think the series is slow & non-linear in some sense, but i promise (i think) that once you get to the end all the pieces fall into place & every-thing makes sense. it’s funny because there was ghost-hound made by the same team but that screwed-up. in the end every-thing was revealed to be some super-natural mumbo-jumbo. if i wanted to watch higurashi i’d watch higurashi. random side-tangent aside l0l.

did you watch the sequel movie to Psycho-Pass? Also I already mentioned it before but I was previously kind-of (passively) watching Chain-Saw but that does have quite some similarities to Psycho-Pass.

I didn’t watch season 3 (yet?) either. Urobutcher’s series are interesting, so I think of maybe watching Revenger. There’s also another series called Obsolete & a puppet-show l0l. But I think revenger it’ll be.

Is Chainsaw Man good?

From what I watched kind-of yeah. The protagonists are unlikeable, but the situations they get into are tense. It leads to interesting perhaps stories.

Like I said it’s like JJK, if it were realistic. The situations/settings are almost the same, except Chain-Saw is more hard-core & realistic. A setting like that is more likely to be Chain-Saw than JJK. JJK is more idealistic and the protagonist too, so if you want to watch a shounen series that’s shounen but the same setting you can watch JJK. Even-though even when I watched JJK I thought some of the imagery & stuff was very extreme, but I obviously didn’t see anything yet (talking about Chain-Saw).

It’s got Psycho-Pass similarities too.

Lain is very good, it's aged like wine, although there's one puzzling aspect I wrote off as a red herring back then and never really figured out.

Chainsaw is good, I saw the movie a few days ago. I just wish the OST during action sequences was better.

Lain is top 20, if not top 5. Think it randomly got traction on social media a few years ago. Definitely has become more applicable to reality as time has passed, unlike most shows depicting the future. I might have to rewatch it to see what I think of the potential red herring.

I don't think there were aliens that I remember just the people in black. That Kyouks got to be trolling.

I see. What did you think of season 2? I heard it getting a-lot of h9. I watched the 2015 movie because the core-creative team got-together again for that, but skipped season 2 because seemingly every-one hated that & Urobutcher left during season 2.
