Yeah that's a good explanation. Gohan went from getting 1,307x stronger (vs Raditz) to a bit more than 2x stronger against Vegeta and Nappa. But how could Goku be so sure an enranged Gohan would able to defeat Cell under this unpreadictable nature of his rage?

Also, if Gohan could freely transform into SSJ2, why didn't he do it against Dabura or Fat Boo? Or do you think he did?

Also, what Goku meant when he said to Gohan get angry against Boo? If he meant the SSJ2, then it'd contradict your notion about them referring to SSJ2 as Gohan's rage, no?

Judging from the context (''Remember the time you fought Cell and bring out all the power you have''), i think Goku meant that, if Gohan
gets angry, he'll return to his Cell Games level. Maybe the power Gohan had lost by slacking off wasn't really lost, maybe it had just laid
dormant and Gohan could get it back by becoming mad.

If Boo saga Gohan SSJ2 = Cell Games Gohan SSJ2, then Gohan's enranged power isn't simply his SSJ2.
