What warrior class is nappa?

High. I'd really doubt anything less than a high class warrior would be watching over the Saiyan prince as he grew.

Mid Class. Even if calling him an "elite," that would still be the middle class between the low classes and super elites. This is made more apparent by Toriyama stating in interviews that the majority of the Saiyan race at the time of Planet Vegeta's destruction were low-class, with 10 being mid class and only Vegeta and his father being true elites.

Not really much of a retcon, considering an Elite between the classes of Low Class and Super Elite is by definition Mid Class regardless of the prior terminology.
